Migrate Campaigns across Brands

You know that feeling when you’ve invested loads of time and energy in creating a campaign and then have to do it all over again for your other brand(s)? We feel your pain. Our platform is made to make social advertising campaign creation, optimisation and management as efficient as possible. That’s why we developed this new feature to make your workflow even smoother. From now on you can migrate your campaigns across different brands, saving you time and energy.

Why should advertisers care

Imagine you have a business that is active in several countries, with one brand per country. Wouldn’t it be incredibly time saving if you could just migrate the campaign setup across different brands? Or, imagine you want to test your campaign setups across different brands – wouldn’t it be super useful to find out for which brand the setup works best? Then this brand new feature is built especially for you. It lets you do exactly that. You can migrate your campaign with just one click instead of having to set up the campaign again from scratch.

Exceptions to be aware of

Even though we include as many settings as objectives in the new feature, there are still some exceptions. Since audiences, mobile apps and product sets are related to a specific brand, they won’t be migrated across your other brand(s). Imagine if you have a business selling multiple brands and drinks. One drink might be attractive for a younger audience whereas the other drink is more popular among an older audience. You don’t want to mix up these audiences, do you?

Exceptions are assets related to specific brands within your account and so are:

  • Audiences/ad sets
  • Pages/Instagram accounts
  • Mobile apps
  • Product sets selected in ad groups
  • Product catalog settings in the campaign settings
  • Pixels selected in the campaign settings

How does it work?

Step 1

First, you need to select the campaign you want to copy in your campaign dashboard and click ‘migrate’.

Step 2

Once you clicked on ‘migrate’ you will get an overview of the next steps, the sources of your campaign and the destination of your campaign. In Destination you can change/select your brand, page and Instagram account as well as your Conversion Pixel.

Step 3

Now that you’ve migrated your campaign, you can select your audiences.

Step 4

Once you’ve selected your audiences, you can continue with your creatives. Here you have the chance to select your preferred creatives or keep using the same creatives.

Step 5

Have you migrated your creatives? Then you are ready for the final step. Make sure to finalise your migration, otherwise your previous steps will not be saved. Once you click on ‘Finalize migration’ your campaign will be in draft state. Don’t forget to check if the audiences and creatives are the right ones before you publish your campaign.

Good to know

For now, our new feature is available for the auction campaign buying type and the following campaign goals:

  • Conversions
  • Clicks to Website
  • Page Post Engagement
  • Product Catalog Sales
  • Page Likes
  • Offer Claims
  • Video Views
